Hello, everyone. You may or may not know who I am. If you do, good! If you don't, I'm Toast, the main tank around these parts.
If you're reading this, you're probably a hooker. Or, to be more precise, a hooker <with_Pancakes>. As a member of this guild, we will not ask much of you. However, we have to ask a few things of ALL members, whether they're Escorts or Batter.
...Speaking of which, here's a quick rundown of our ranking system:
Batter -
Applicant. 2 week recruitment period, followed by a vote from the officers at the end of the recruitment. Loot MAY be earned, but only after the first week (3 raids) period.
Toothless Hooker -
Alts. Mains will be taken over alts in raids, unless the class is desperately needed (healers, lol).
Streetwalker -
Basic Casual Member. No preference over Batters or Toothless Hookers for raids.
Pancake -
Basic Raider. Most raiders will go here. This simply means they are with the guild, they show up fairly regularly, and they are prepared when they do. Requires 65% attendance or greater. Pancakes will be chosen for raids after all higher ranking members have been invited. (The exception for this is tanks and healers...they are always chosen before anyone else)
Trick -
Strong, Consistent Raider. Veteran.. Advancement from Pancake. This shows you know what you're doing. You're confident, you've done work for the guild and your fellow guildmates. You research the boss fights, so you know what to expect, and what is expected of you, and you are willing to come on wipe nights just so you can be there for when we all scream FUCK YEAH on vent. Also requires 75% attendance or greater. As an interesting change of things, to achieve this rank YOU MUST HAVE AN AUTHENTICATOR. This rank is the second chosen to for raids. Tricks have proven their commitment, and as such we should be committed to them.
John -
Elite Raider. These are the go-to guys and gals who've been with us long enough to prove that they are ready to roll out to any instance/raid and get the job done. Long standing members, we can depend on them. They are solid performers, other guildies ask them questions. They are recognizable as contributing members of the guild. This rank requires 95% attendance or greater. Only 1 person of each class will achieve this rank. Obviously, must have an authenticator for this rank as well. After the officers have created the raid, these members are the first picked for a raid, as they have proven they will give us a better chance to win.
Hooker -
Elite Raider and "Wise Man's Council" These are the elite raiders with a twist. These are the guild members we rely on. They shoulder much of the weight of the guild. They have shown leadership, they help guild members unquestioningly. They offer themselves to fellow guildies. They also gain responsibility in the guild. They will assist officers in going through applicants to the guild. These people are the voice of the guild, and are to act as council to the officers on behalf of situations, issues, things that could be done for improvement. They will be required to particpate in the forums. (while we ask everyone to visit the forums at least semi-regularly, it is not compulsory. For this rank, however, it is.) Basically, they are liasons between guildies and officers. This rank will be VERY limited. There will only be 1 Hooker per 7 Active Raiders. This is NOT a permanent position. If the person cannot meet the requirements, we demote to John. Still an Elite raider, but with less responsibility.

Some crappy bank altAlright, now that that's out of the way, some basic expectations of a Pancake...
Rule Numero Uno -
Preparation -
Be on time, consumables in hand, ready to raid at designated times if you're choosing to raid. Know the encounters: I may be quizzing you on whether you took the time to learn them or not!
Rule/Guideline Two -
Restraint -
Chat can be...colorful sometimes. (you joined a guild where every rank relates in some way to prostitution or breakfast, remember?) However, that doesn't mean you can say whatever you damn well feel like. There are people from all walks of life in Pancakes, and I'd imagine the officers (and myself!) don't want to see great raiders leave because some douchenozzle couldn't keep his mouth shut. This also includes ridiculous amounts of spamming (WOLF WOLF WOLF WOLF WOLF WOLF). Leave it off /guild. If this is not followed? The offender WILL be removed.
Guideline Three -
Commitment -
This is the big one. Well, it is in my eyes, anyway. Pancakes is a casual-raiding guild. Y'know what that means? It means we DO NOT REQUIRE YOU TO RAID! If you don't want to, we're not gonna kick you out on the street for it. (Unless you're Tarojo. Then you're fucked. =(.) There are a few things that statement does NOT mean, however...
1. Don't moonlight on us. Seriously. Don't do it. We've kicked applicants before for it, and I have a feeling some officers will do it again, given the opportunity. If there are plans for a raid IN THE GMOTD, do not go off and PUG that SAME INSTANCE. Do not look for a raiding guild for your alt USING A MAIN THAT IS IN THE GUILD. >_< FFS, it's common sense, people. =/ must we even MENTION mains in that same thing? Don't app with our tag, alts or mains. Don't do it.
2. If you raid with us, you will raid to the best of your ability. Don't slack off. We may be a casual-raiding guild, but our raiding is anything BUT casual. (We're talking focus when we say that. Our chat can steer off into various directions, sometimes...)
3. Read the first two again. Learn them, love them, live them.
Other Stuff -
Casual Raiding -
Being a casual raiding guild, we will not run as late as the other more hardcore guilds would (Read: OCK, Prodigium, and the like). Raids usually end around 8:30 GT (for now, at least. This may change in the future), to be friendly to our East Coast players. Most raids will BEGIN around 5:30 GT for invites, which means we don't have a lot of time each night! If anything, this further reinforces Rule Three, Point 2:
Raid at your VERY BEST.Cutting Fat -
There is some absolutely amazing talent in this guild. I mean, jaw-droppingly incredible. One thing I will not tolerate is a raider who comes in, goofs off (more than I do), is beaten by TANKS on the damage meters (unless you're a healer, in which case you change damage to healing), and expects to be fully geared when he leaves the raid! You'll earn your keep in Pancakes, and have fun doing it.
Talk to People -
We can be a very tight, powerful force to be reckoned with if we don't get involved in little shit-fits with other members. If you have an issue with a member of the guild, talk to one of the officers! If your problem is WITH an officer, come to me or Jotaro. We're usually online in some form or another, and we'll listen. Most of the time. If we feel like it. And you bribe us. A lot. Always remember, you can also come to the Hookers as well. As liasons between the officers and guild members, it's one of their responsibilities to make sure your voice is heard. Talk to them, and they will follow through with whatever question, comment, idea you have.
Respect Where It's Due -
Just a note of common courtesy: Respect each other. Common sense again, but you'd be surprised at how much people like your officers and Hookers are working to get us to new content ASAP. Give 'em the respect, and I'm sure they'll give it right back.
IMPORTANCE: DPS METERS -
When raiding, we try not to flex too much of our e-peen (It can be painful down the road). During a raid, we have a channel SPECIFICALLY FOR damage meters, if you feel the need to know just how much someone is kicking your sorry ass on the meter. This channel can be reached by typing "/join omgmeters". Do not discuss the meters in raid, keep it to the channel. Other than specific fights, where we need to monitor overall DPS (Read: Festergut and Blood Queen come to mind), Damage Meters are NOT ALLOWED in raid, party OR guild chat! We have a channel, USE IT. We also have that nifty WWS thing, talk to others about that, I have no idea what it does. XD
That's all I've got for now. I'm sure the other officers will chime in with their own ideas and additions to these basic outlines. As I said before, we won't ask you for a whole lot as a member. All we Do ask is that you know your shit if you do decide to begin raiding with us (haha, grammar check found an issue with "you know your shit"). Look forward to seein' ya in game.
Cheers,
