So it's that time of year again. Another anniversary, another guild event. Here's the video I put together for it, so you can kind of get a view of what went down on the day of the event.
 
 I'm very pleased at how everything turned out, and I've heard nothing but good things mentioned by the participants.

Hello everyone,

Due to an error that was not noticed, our application system was down for the count bleeding in some back alley after having been shived by some corporate douchebag when it wouldn't give him head for fifty do-...perhaps that's too much information for public consumption.

For those of you coming to our site to apply, I'd like to apologize for that problem. Our technical staff is really only operated by small pack of trained rodents. What can I say, they work cheap!

Keep those applications rolling in.

It's been a while since I updated this, hasn't it?

Since the last time you saw us (which was back when we took out FESTAGOOT (alias Festergut (alias Festercunt (alias Festerfuck (alias The Fat One))))), Pancakes has done OTHER STUFF.

First off: do you remember the three blood elf undead mages you saw leveling up/instancing in WotLK? Prince Taldaram in Ahn'Kahet, Prince Keleseth from Utgarde Keep (Frost Tomb guy), and Prince Valanar from...well, it was some 3-man quest in Borean Tundra, the point is they are ALIVE AGAIN. Well, not really alive so much as brought back from the dead. again. Blizzard is really getting carried away with bringing people back to life (the fight even makes a mention of this, giving homage to the first redead Belf, Kael'Thas himself), and I hope that a bunch of people from Vanilla don't show up again in Catacl...oh wait ffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-

Anyway the short story is, they're dead again now. For good. Until Tuesday.

But they are not the only things that died recently! You all know Festergut (see above aliases), as he is a big giant douche that fucked us over for several weeks. Well, believe it or not, he has a brother. At least, it seems to be that they are brothers. Whereas Festergut has all sorts of gas-themed elements to his fight, Rotface is all about the slime. We killed him a few weeks ago, but in the rush to kill Festergut that night as well, we forgot to take a screenshot! So, in lieu of what would assuredly be another fine example of the guild's ability to stand in a loosely connected mob, I present to you a Festergut picture that has spent 1000000000 hours in MS Paint.

So that's what we've been up to. In non-progression related news, our BIRTHDAY is coming up soon! That's right: The First Azerothian House of the Order of Pancakes is turning 2 years old in just a few weeks! For those of you who aren't aware of this obviously awesome fact, you should check out the Members Only forum (There is a Members Only forum, non-guild members! You should apply if you are a holy pally or disc priest and then you will see this thread I am talking about!) for a fascinating movie/post-type thing from our very own cantankerous bastard, Nihilistic!

Just for kicks, and because part of me wants to see how this picture turns out, a brief glimpse into how exactly I maek poasts liek dis.

Alright, I think that about wraps up everything. We are recruiting at least one of each of the two classes I listed in the above paragraph, so if you are new here check that out!

SO there should be a Saurfang post here (we killed him!) but it is way too fucking late for that, so I'll do it tomorrow or something. I don't know.

ANYWAYS in the mean time I am going to post a bit of news that I wanted to post a while ago (read: a week or so), but didn't think about it again until...2:27:55 AM, that is how I operate, people.

Lots of you know Aseelah. She is a ROWG. or, rather, she WAS a rowg. Now she is a doodad. She pretty much summed up 2009 for the Pancakes in a post a while back, and now I am posting it here, for those of you who missed it, or those of you who are outside the guild and wonder what exactly we do during the day.

Without further ado, Pancakes 2009 In Review!

In 2009 :

We got many new members to the guild.

Toast turned 12 (again) and became a published author.

Jot's beard ran away....or was it stolen while he slept? Maybe it left in anger when he turned Orc.

Ono's name mysteriously changed...and though we dont discuss it much, I think he got a sex change too.

Many of you attended our first PanCon in California....though Grim should never be left unattended again.

Lyo and Mrs Lyo were blessed with little Lyonaisse.

Nerf and Atro joined our ranks...I'll never look at a cookie the same way again.

DS joined our ranks...and now we have a DICK in the guild.

Leaky came along and taught us all how to "Superman dat Ho"

Sor is still aptly soothed by Southern accents.

We had our first Naked Belf Race as part of our First Anniversary celebration and Nih created a great video to capture the events.

Shal is now known as Madame Shalini, Seer of the Stars, and...That poor Girl that has to put up with Nak.

Nak is known as ...That Lucky Bastard that gets to be with Shal.

Lenox is still looking for the right chat channel.

Vux's dps went past the 25000 mark this year, and he swears the 327, 648 mods he uses has NO part in it.

Our Little Gethy went to Cali this year and became a MAN....that constantly sings about a horse. ( Did he slip off to Tijuana when no one was looking?)

Nih is still a Rotten Bastard and original member of the Pancake Foodies Club. DS, Sor and others joined the club quickly.
I heard they worship a poster of Anthony Bourdain, but thats just rumor so far.

Druids in the guild multiplied. We can't talk about the Moonglade rituals that caused this phenom...just a lot of naked druids romping in Moonglade.

Thank you all for a great year. Can't wait to see what this one brings.

THIS GUY DID. Well, you can only see three in the picture, as far as I can tell. But he had four. Trust me you guys, I am Educated about things like this.

After that guy died (Although you kinda have to wonder if he was ever really living in the first place, I mean he was just kind of bones and wings and Oh God What A Cool Axe), we walked up this ramp and then we were in this other room. There was some bitch in that room that gave this really aggravating speech for two days, and then we killed her. But we forgot to take the picture because we were so excited about moving platforms, so here's this consolation picture of my UI and the room we were in. I'll update it next week or something, probably not though.

And then we took an elevator and went outside and there were some Alliance dudes. We killed them, I almost shit my pants because a dragon snuck up on me from behind, and then we got on a boat. Here is a picture of us being on a boat.

I think that is all for now, there will probably be more pictures eventually.

Well, it's finally done. Ulduar(25) cleared. It's been a long, and interesting road. With our first Flame Leviathan kill the week after 3.1 was released, it could be said that we've had more than our fair share of struggles with the Prison of Yogg-Saron. Or, as Ono put it, .

The Lag Narwhal did indeed play a very large role in the problems we faced throughout this instance. Indeed, there were times when the prospects of other guilds threatened to tear the Pancakes apart.

But, through all the ups and downs, we have persevered and come out on top. That's not to say that we didn't learn a few things along the way, both about ourselves and the game. Allow me to show some examples.

"BUT TOAST," you're asking (I can see it in your eyes), "WUT IS WE GONAN DU NAO, YOGGY BAER ES DED LOL!" That's a good question. Our focuses now turn in two different directions, to be honest. For the longest time, we've had Yogg in the back of our minds, always there, but never really able to be trounced by the various members of Pancakes.

As the weeks and months roll by, and we steel ourselves for the upcoming Fall of the Lich King (aka 3.3, yes that's its name), prepare to see two different directions as we move forward.

Ulduar Hard Modes (ultimately culminating in Algalon the Observer, by far the most beautiful encounter this game has yet to offer)

Trial of the Grand Crusader, one of the most familiar and yet vastly more challenging instances we'll be facing in the immediate future.

I won't lie to you: We've reached a stage in progression where things stop becoming so easy. Encounters are about to become a whole lot harder. As a guild, we will be tested, and I do not doubt for a second that we will pass these tests. Amazing work on Yogg-Saron, let's see some more.

No one managed to get the Ben Folds Reference-o-Thon with the Anub'arak & Mimiron post! Not one person! Sad day. :<

Anyways, I'm gonna make this one short and sweet since we still have a Yoggy Bear to kill. 63% on him, best we've done thus far, but that was only with one night of attempts! Should die next reset, I think. :)
